Run MPC-HC with high-performance NVIDIA processor
Introduction
This guide shows you how to configure the Media Player Classic to use your GPU for high-performance video playback.
Prerequisites
- A Windows PC with an NVIDIA graphic processor.
Download Media Player Classic
Download the 32bit version of MPC-HC from mpc-hc.org
Download CoreAVC
Download CoreAVC v3.0.1 from and install it.
Configure
Open MPC-HC, go to View \ Options \ External Filters, click "Add Filter..." button and select CoreAVC Video Decoder. Make sure the "Prefer" is checked.
Conclusion
Now play your video, and you can see the MPC-HC icon in the NVIDIA GPU Activity indicates that high-performance is being used; there is also a CoreAVC icon in the Taskbar :)
